Galt Transport deliver sculpture to Cuningar Loop
/We recently delivered and helped to install a new sculpture for the entrance to Cuningar Woodland Park, Glasgow. Evolve, the six metre high sculpture was created by Glasgow based artist Rob Mulholland and took over six months to create. Made from high grade stainless steel it has over six hundred individual pieces welded together to create the stunning structure.
Offloaded in four sections, we used one of our Palfinger PK-62 cranes to lift the pieces into position. The full installation involved a team of drivers, crane operators, welders and artist and took one week to complete.
Cuningar Loop is an exciting new woodland park to the east end of Glasgow. Fifteen hectares of derelict land - the size of 15 football pitches - has been transformed into a community greenspace for local people and visitors to get involved, get active and be inspired by the outdoors.
The sculpture represents the transition and growth of Cuningar Loop from a neglected land fill site into an amazing woodland park.
