Galt Transport has completed the final leg of the journey for Loch Lomond’s newest passenger cruise boat, the MV Lomond Monarch.  The last part of the epic journey involved overland transportation from Dumbarton to Balloch before being craned onto Loch Lomond.

Galt Transport was on hand this week to help Glasgow’s famous paddle steamer Waverley with final preparations ahead of her first sailings of the season.

There was only one truck for the job when a recent customer request came in.  Our customer, Archibald McAulay & Son needed three steel beams lifted through a small window opening at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in the centre of Glasgow.

Galt Transport has acquired four new Scania R-series trucks, two of which feature the firm’s longest reaching lorry mounted cranes.  The new additions will include two artic R490 and two rigid R450 units, all equipped with Palfinger cranes.

We recently delivered and helped to install a new sculpture for the entrance to Cuningar Woodland Park, Glasgow.  Evolve, the six metre high sculpture was created by Glasgow based artist Rob Mulholland and took over six months to create.
