‘Would you be able to lift a giant teapot over a building for us?’ came the call….

Fast forward to this week (and following a site visit) we found ourselves working at Jupiter Artland the sculpture park and art gallery in West Lothian, just outside Edinburgh.  Open each year from May to September, the outdoor attraction will have a number of new exhibits and installations for visitors to enjoy when they open their doors on Saturday 12th May for this year's season.

The giant teapot in question - a wrought iron sculpture titled 'Pavillon de Thé' - had to be lifted from the entrance courtyard over the building and onto the lawn of the cafe's terrace.

Using the fly jib attachment and hoist the sculpture was lifted up and over the building before the hoist gently lowered the piece straight down onto the lawn.  Weighing just 390kgs we were able to extend the crane to a 25m reach and position exactly where the customer wanted with ease.

Jupiter Artland opens on Saturday 12th May – 30th September 2018 between 10-5pm every day.  For more information visit www.jupiterartland.org
