Galt Transport has acquired two new Volvo FH12 trucks, ready to hit the road on the 1st March 2016.

The Dumbarton based haulage firm has bolstered its fleet with the two ‘16 plate trucks which were supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Cardonald.

The 6x2 tag axle units are plated for 65 tonne special types category 2 operation and are specified for ADR EX11 work.

These two new additions join an existing FH12 unit purchased in 2015.  The units have proved a hit with drivers due to cab comfort with the spacious accommodation featuring fridges and sleeper bunks with sprung mattresses.

Similarly, the Traffic Managers are more than happy with the fuel efficiency the units are capable of.

Galt Transport have been operating a diverse transport and haulage fleet since 1947.  The family run business operates throughout the UK, Ireland and the EU from 4 operating centres in Central Scotland.  The company has a modern fleet of over 60 trucks and 100 trailers from varying manufacturers in an effort to maintain a truly flexible fleet.  The company also offers storage facilities and driver training school.
